We are Meriwether Design Group

We're based in Atlanta and we work anywhere our services are needed by nice people with open minds. We combine a large dose of personality and decades of experience with our own take on style, interior design and architecture, custom furniture and millwork design and art curation to create unique and beautiful living spaces that make people smile.

For MDG, no project is too large and no project too far.

Meriwether McAdams

designer | principle | founder

Inspired by her love color and pattern, Meriwether’s interiors possess a timeless quality that celebrate classic design. With a background in residential interiors and construction, Meriwether works closely with clients to design homes that reflect the owner’s style and personality and provide a sophisticated, yet comfortable, refuge.

With an emphasis on simplicity, beauty, and function, her interiors feature a blend of clean lines, rich textures, found objects, striking patterns, and custom-designed elements that set her designs apart.

Growing up Meriwether would spend hours studying and drawing floor plans, fascinated by spacial design, and designing clothing. These passions lead her to the University of Georgia, where she studied interior design and graduated with honers with a BFA. After working in several firms in Savannah and Atlanta she went on to create her own firm Meriwether Design Group.

As principle designer, Meriwether guides the team with the diligence and experience that provide a strong foundation for the work we produce.  Her genuine and earnest character truly season the personality and environment of Meriwether Design Group.

Meriwether is inthralled with the beauty of nature. And while you might not fine her camping you will often find her pulling over her car to watch a beautiful sunset or circling bird that God has placed in her path.

Kathryn McAdams

senior designer

Kathryn finds joy in her work through constructing beautiful spaces while at the same time affecting the everyday lives of people in a positive way. She allows her love for art to infuse into her work and develops projects that have elemental design and beauty at their core.

Kathryn graduated from SCAD with a honors BFA in Interior Design.  Her education and years of work have left her with a strong background in sculpting interiors. Kathryn has used those skills to design many custom pieces of furniture and cabinetry for our clients.  She has a firm grasp on the development and implementation on projects, drawing and laying out design for their best use.

Influenced by design and architecture from an early age, one of Kathryn's fondest childhood memories is making houses complete with furniture and draperies for her Barbies out of the wonderful fabric samples that were available to her. She has traveled extensively and considers her dream vacation to be a museum and antique shopping trip to London.  Kathryn loves animals and spends her time (and dollars) rescuing stray animals and finding them forever homes.
